There is so much to see and do – whether you enjoy a day out shopping, hunting for bargains at a local market, enjoying a walk around a tranquil garden, discovering the mining heritage of the China Clay industry, or walking through a tropical rain forest set within the biomes of Eden; the choice is yours.

White River Place is the brand new pedestrianised shopping centre opened in 2009 with shops, cafes and cinema creating a modern and energising feel to the town centre. The other attractions listed below are all within easy reach of St Austell and linked by regular bus services.

You can reduce your impact on the environment by enjoying St Austell and St Austell Bay without the car. Using public transport is a greener way to travel and there are good transport links with
