One of the biggest environmental impacts on the region is TRANSPORT!
Over 90% of people visiting Cornwall arrive by car! Imagine the pollution and traffic congestion this causes every year, not to mention the amount of the carbon emissions released into the atmosphere that cause climate change and global warming.
Whether you are on holiday or living locally you can help reduce this impact by enjoying our Car Free Days Out! These activities have been created by a small but dedicated team of local people to show you how you can enjoy these wonderful places and protect them at the same time.
If everyone made at least one trip a week on the bus instead of a car journey imagine the amount of carbon we could save!
You can reduce your impact on the environment by enjoying St Austell and St Austell Bay without the car. Using public transport is a greener way to travel and there are good transport links with all the things to do suggested here.
Each thing to do will eventually be accompanied by a downloadable PDF full of helpful information to get the very best from your day out.
