There are plenty of independent shops in Penzance where local produce can be purchased; such as the Causeway head which has a wide range of outlets selling everything from local crafts to pasties and locally grown fruit and vegetables.
Penzance Country Market is a long established market selling local produce and there are regular Farmers Markets held at St John’s Hall and at the top of Causewayhead in the summer months. With upwards of 20 stalls, the market offers plenty of choice when it comes to local raw ingredients as well as delicious homemade produce. Seasonal cut flowers and unusual garden plants and herbs are also available. Every October, it hosts a special Apple Day in celebration of the harvest and especially of Cornish apples.
