It was not until I ventured to foreign shores where access to the coast is often prohibited due to private ownership that I came to appreciate how lucky we are to have free access to one of the most diverse and beautiful coastlines in the world. And this is all thanks to the South west Coast Path, all 630 miles of it stretching from Minehead in Somerset to Poole Harbour in Dorset.
The coast path around West Penwith can be split into several sections that can be walked in a day if you are fit! Alternatively you can simply dip in and out of the path, enjoying a headland here or a cove there. After living in Cornwall for most of my life there are still parts of this wonderful coastline that I have yet to explore.
Take a look at the following suggestions provided by the South West Coast Path Association that will take you all around West Penwith Coastline.
