Start and Finish Location: Crantock Bus Stop
Distance: 2 miles (3km)
Terrain: Mostly level with one gentle climb at the beginning
From the bus stop, take the lane to the right of a small antique shop.Follow the lane up to the top of the hill and climb over the stone stile that faces you as the road takes a sharp right. Cross the field and climb over a stone stile on the other side before turning left down the lane.
Here you pass Penpol Farm on the left before finding the Coast path sign on the left hand side of the road. Take this path through the kissing gate, across the field and a copse alongside Penpol Creek. At another kissing gate you will emerge from the wood to views across [[the Gannel]] Estuary. Keep the estuary on your right and take in the natural delights of this beautiful protected area.
Follow the path up a gentle climb to be rewarded with stunning views across Crantock Beach and the Atlantic beyond. The path then continues until dropping to Crantock Beach car park.
Crantock village is very pretty and also has much to explore; there is the Church with its stocks (last used in 1817) in the church yard, two pubs and a few little shops.
